Wolves in two counties in northeastern Washington are killing cattle. Director Kelly Susewind authorized killing the wolves according to Washington Fish and Wildlife regulations. The removal of the wolves will not harm recovery efforts according to department officials. The announcement gives one day notice to the environmental groups and the courts to review the lethal removal order as a result of a lawsuit in 2017.
