Outdoor Specialist LLC owner Marvin Doherty has been sentenced for multiple violations, in addition, 4 employees have also been sentenced. Some of the violations occurred while taking clients on illegal hunts. The violations vary from trespassing to illegal possession of big game animals and illegal baiting to name a few. Doherty must write a check for $20,000 to Operation Game Thief along with multiple forfeitures of property and other financial penalties. Colorado Parks and Wildlife investigation into this outfitter was extensive. Heavy-handed fines like this will hopefully deter future attempts at illegal actions in the field from the outdoor community. These violations occurred in the 2016-17 hunting seasons.
