GRAND TETON PARK CLOSES

Blacktail Butte hunting area is closed indefinitely due to grizzly bear activity in the area.

The parks bear management specialists noticed several grizzlies feeding on 3 elk carcasses. At least 1 of the elk was harvested by a hunter. The closure will stay in place until the carcasses have been completely consumed. This hunt area was scheduled to be open until Dec 9th.
