The Arizona deer application period is now open. Hunters can apply for not only deer permits but fall turkey, fall javelina, bighorn sheep, fall bison, and sandhill crane permits as well.

The application period will run until 11:59 p.m. on June 8th, 2021. Hopeful hunters are encouraged to apply prior to the deadline. AZGFD would like to also remind hunters that they must have a valid Arizona hunting license to apply for the above-mentioned hunting permits. Likewise, hunters should get a copy of the 2021-22 Arizona Hunting Regulations. This booklet will help them answer several questions they may have. Hunters cal also call 602-942-3000 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

AZGFD also recommends that hunters purchase PointGuard. PointGuard will allow hunters to return their permits for any reason. As a result of PointGuard, you’ll not lose your points if you return a permit or tag.
