Before this change, Wyoming used the calendar year when purchasing a license. That has now changed. The commission voted to approve 12-month licenses for fishing, small game, game birds, furbearers and conservation stamps.

Other potential changes will be brought to a vote in April 2019.  Those changes include but are not limited too:

  1. Prohibit enhanced sights for archery.
  2. Mandate that hunters follow up on a shot to determine if an animal is wounded or killed.
  3. Prohibit smart rifles, which are rifles that lock onto a target.
  4. Allow traceable arrows to better track wounded prey.

What does everyone think about these possible changes?
