The state of New York is known for many things, Niagara Falls, The Statue of Liberty and Central Park to name a few. The Empire State can also boast it has a huge influx of female hunters, over 50,000 of them or 10 percent of the 500,000 licensed hunters. Pushing the trend of female hunters could be the want for organic meat for their families. Another possibility is the want to be out in nature. With hunting groups focusing on women only activities and states marketing to female hunters the numbers will only rise.
Hunters as a whole should introduce more women to our lifestyle. The fresh faces will help grow our sport across all walks of life. As it sits now we are barely maintaining the status quo.
