Recently a deer roaming Western Wyoming was nick-named SCAR. He was spotted in the winter range and harvested the following year during the hunting season. However, the deer in the photo was the original SCAR. He was popular amongst the locals that followed the wintering deer herds in Sublette County in the early 1990s. Another true Legend of the West. Unknown if he was ever harvested.

THE ORIGINAL SCAR-LEGENDS NEVER DIE SERIES

________________________________________________________________________

Legends Never Die is dedicated to bringing back the memories of bucks from the past that are considered “Legendary.” We have all seen photos of giant bucks from back in the hay day. Bucks that cause our jaws to drop open in disbelief. Leaving us dreaming about a chance to even see a buck of a lifetime like that EVER. In this segment, you will witness never before seen photos of Legendary deer like Popeye, Morty, King Crab and many more.  This series of photos was taken by A. Ellis from 1989-1994 and brought back to life by us at www.ehuntr.com

All these deer roamed public land in Western Wyoming. Most living out their entire lives never to be taken by a hunter.  Many deer in this series will have several years of photos taken through different seasons of the year. Photos documenting their lives as they grew to be the giants they became. When coming up with a name for this series of photos we used a spinoff of one of our favorite movies, The Sandlot.

Big Deer get remembered, but Legends Never Die. And I think you will all agree, these deer are true Legends of the West. Make sure to follow us for more info on these deer. Check us out in our Legends Never Die category under the Big Game dropdown on our home page.

We’d like to give a special thanks to everyone that supports us at www.ehuntr.com. It couldn’t be done without your continued loyalty.
