Definition: A woman who hunts
We want to take a minute to celebrate the awesome shEHUNTRs we have in our community. This week we are talking with Cindy Flowers. Much like our previous shEHUNTRs, she has turned her passion for hunting and animals into a business.
She owns Big Horn Taxidermy and works there full-time as a taxidermist. Her hunting related endeavors don’t stop there though. She has started working with goats as pack animals. “I have recently gotten interested in pack goats and have acquired 3 of the little buggers,” Cindy says.
Like a lot of female hunters and business owners, Cindy doesn’t always get out as much as she would like. “I don’t get to hunt nearly as much as I would like to, but just to be in the outdoors is a gift.”
Hunting has always been a big part of Cindy’s life. It was even the family business. “I got started hunting and fishing when I was young,” she says. “My grandparents had an outfitting business.”
“I like hunting with gun or bow but the archery hunting is much more challenging,” Cindy says. “I love that time of year. Elk are my favorite but I would love to hunt moose someday, too.”
At the end of the day, she loves what we all love about hunting. “My favorite part of hunting is being in the outdoors and spending time with friends and family.”
