The ribeye of the sky, aka sandhill crane, have invaded Arizona for their annual migration. Crane counts conducted by AZGFD near Wilcox and McNeal, AZ have show numbers close to 35,000. These birds have a distinct call and a 6 foot wingspan. In AZ they are a lottery tag for 3 birds for the season. This author has yet to hunt these birds that stretch back 2 million years, but they are on the list of wants.

Does your state offer sandhill crane hunts? And being known as the ribeye of the sky, does anyone have any good recipes they can share? Comment below.
