A cow elk was hunting starlings near a pond when it decided to go after these geese and their goslings. Despite these geese’s best efforts the elk killed and partially ate one of the goslings. This is likely one of the only times this behavior by an elk has been captured on video. Ruminants (like elk, deer, cows, etc.) are known to occasionally supplement their diet with birds, eggs, fish, and even snakes).
