After an investigation into a drive by shooting at Willie Robertson’s house, officials have arrested a suspect: Daniel King Jr.  Willie Robertson is most widely know for the hit TV series ‘Duck Dynasty.’  King Jr. is facing charges of aggravated assault by drive by shooting and one count of criminal neglect of family.  The court has a set bond of $150,000.  Fortunately, no one was hurt during this incident, however, Robertson and his family were “shook up.”

Incident Details

The exact motive behind the shooting remains unclear.  However, Robertson believes that the targeting of his home was no coincidence.  King was driving a Ford F-250 truck, with other passengers when he began firing his ten shots at the residence.  This happened during broad daylight, causing additional confusion.

Willie was at the grocery store while the incident took place.  However, a bullet flew through the bedroom window of the house where his son, John, lives with his wife and kids.  From the way in which the event took place, the shots seem to have been fired at random.  It appears that there was no specific object that was the target.

Due to the stay at home orders, additional family members are living with Willie.  According to him, “Nobody was outside at the time, but everybody was out about five minutes before.”  Things could have been much worse had the shooter arrived just minutes earlier.

Investigation

At this time, no other arrests were made other than that of the original suspect.  The exact involvement of the passengers in the suspect’s truck is still unknown.  However, once the investigation comes to a close, there will hopefully be additional information gathered as to why the Robertson’s house was targeted.  As they are famous for starring in the reality show, “Duck Dynasty,” the role by which that played into the motive of the suspect also is unknown.

Why do you suspect Willie and his family would be targeted by this violence?
