Colorado Parks and Wildlife Department are raising tag and license fees for 2019. The increase in fees, especially for resident elk hasn’t changed since 2006. Not only have tags for elk increased, but also small game license, and all big game species for residents. More changes are to come in 2020 based on inflation. Preference points fees have also increased for moose, sheep and goats. Hunting wasn’t the only outdoor activity hit with fee increases, fishing, camping, and entrance into state parks also bear the burden of higher costs. The increases are to help a shortfall in the CPW budget.
