AREAS CLOSED TO SHED HUNTING

Since the adoption of the plan in 2009 Wyoming Game and Fish Department has closed areas to shed hunting. That time of year has come once again, from Jan 1 to April 30. Areas closed include public land, state land, and WGFD wildlife habitat management areas.

The closures are to protect wintering animals from undue stress during tough winter months. Fines and loss of hunting rights are some of the punishments for disobeying the law.
